The Outreach Team provides knowledge transfer support for the Research Core and Pilot/Feasibility Program through educational and extension activities, culturally competent communication, and information dissemination to stakeholders in the southeast. This team works to disseminate relevant risk reduction interventions and research findings to stakeholders and industry professionals in the six-state region by promoting the adoption of best practices in the agricultural and fishery workplaces.
Communication efforts are directed towards families, laborers, supervisors, and company owners in an effort to disseminate important points about workplace safety. The Outreach Team also hosts monthly webinars intended to draw on SCCAHS research as well as external speakers. Past webinars can be found here.
The Outreach core hosts yearly Community Stakeholder Advisory Board (CSAB) and State of the Science (SOS) meetings to communicate relevant research to the Center’s stakeholders and the community at large. These meetings include representatives from Extension, industry, public agencies, academia, and advocacy organizations. Learn more about CSAB and SOS here.
