The Southeastern Coastal Center for Agricultural Health and Safety hosted its inaugural Community Stakeholder Advisory Board meeting last month in Gainesville, Florida. This meeting joined researchers, administration, and industry representatives together to learn more about the center’s current research projects and pilot projects.
The meeting kicked off with a welcome by Glenn Morris and Andy Kane. Attendees also heard from Senior Vice President for the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Jack Payne and Dean for the College of Public Health and Health Professions Mike Perri.
Researchers provided updates on their current research and answered questions about how the findings would impact the future of the agricultural, fishing, and forestry sectors.
